My sweet heart suggested Iluma as she hardly explore there so we decided to head there for shopping.

Well, the first thing when we step in is that we felt very cold as the aircon is strong! The place seems quite big and the shops seem quite unique. There is a special escalator that leads you all the way up to the 4th storey. We find that there isn't much stores to shop. There is an arcade and a few restaurants to eat including Empire State (Monkey on top on building), a Japanese cosplay restaurant, a dessert store (cheeky), noodle house and Xin Cafe. We head to the noodle house at first, but it seems normal to us. We decided to try Xin cafe since my dear wants to try.

Our first impression of xin cafe is that the ambience is very nice. We ordered 2 different fried rice (Samba and normal) and 2 cups of mango pomelo drink. The drink is simply tasty and highly recommended.

As for the fried rice, mine (normal) is a little tasteless or rather I can't taste much, but the prawns are fresh and delicious. My dear has a better fried rice (Samba) which has the spice and strong taste, so she likes it a lot. I have to admit hers taste much better. Another good thing is that they are now offering 20% promo until end of sept this year so you all can try bringing your friends to try.

At first we wanted to go and try the dessert store, but we did not as we are so full. We walked up to the highest floor to have a look at the scenery, but the wind is so strong and it is so cold! Hence we decided to head back down to keep ourself warm. Initially, we wanted to watch a movie but there wasn't any good shows for us to watch. The good shows were either watched before or it will release another few weeks later. Anyway, we haven't watch in film garde before. May be next time we can try watching there. We hang around a little while before we head home. The day was short, but we certainly enjoyed ourselves. Thats all for now!

I passed!

Oh no..this blog is dead. I shall blog about my personal stuff then. I finally passed my driving yesterday! That ends a year of somehow intensive driving lessons. Though yesterday i didn't drive as well as my third attempt, in which my only major mistake was mounting the kerb at S course, i am so thankful that i passed! The TP was quite nice..A few cyclists at the side road could almost cause my failure but he decided to just give me 8 points for it. But somehow i felt that he had in mind to pass me right after completing the circuit items, cos he changed the test route and i didn't do any U turn and did only 1 right turn.

When we went back to the TP room, he started to explain to me my mistakes. I couldn't help but interrupt him and asked him whether i passed. He started to say in a jokingly manner that he wanted me to listen to my mistakes first. Then it was non stop about the cyclist until i thought i had failed again. When i looked at page 1 of the result slip i already saw close to 14 demerit points and there was still another page he did not flip over. My heart really sank at that point of time. But at the end he said u passed..And stop doing all those wide turns and beware of all road hazards. Then he said jokingly that i was born in year 1987 but still haven't passed when people born in year 1990 had already passed their driving!

Really wanna thank all the people who supported me all this while..and for all that had prayed hard for me and most of all God that allowed this to happen. Through all the failures i learnt that safety is the most important issue in driving and through the many lessons that i took, i became more confident in handling different road conditions with the right technique. Most of all i think God was telling me to be patient..to learn to drive well and not just focus on passing the test :)

Aftermath of ESE

Overall, the experience of ESE has been an enjoyable and memorable one. Though there were some setbacks faced mainly in classroom management, the overall experience was great. Learnt alot and got a feel of what the job is like. Towards the end of ESE, we couldn't really bear to leave the school and on the last day we stayed till very late, chatting with mentors and other teachers.

Orientation in NIE was cancelled due to H1N1..and mon to wed i was at a chalet. Though it was fun, I kept thinking about the school and my memorable times there. Feel like going back to teach there permanantly, but my chances are low. Hai..i really miss my times there!

The life of teaching

These few days have been so super tiring..Waking up at 5.40am, and getting ready for school. Initially i thought it was only observation of classes, but due to H1N1, teachers who went to those countries affected had to take Leave of Absence. As a result, there was shortage of teachers and i had to do relief for POA and bio up to yesterday, but no teaching was required on my part. It was really quite an experience handling those normal classes. At times, i was emotionally affected by what the students did to me. At times, i felt happy that i could manage the class and the students were well behaved and greeted me as i walked around the school. The sec 1 students were really cute.

Yesterday i started my observation for my math classes..Two days before i was told to design a math game on angles for a normal tech class..Took great pains to come up with questions for the game. When i stepped into class, i was quite shocked by how daring the students were and how they talked back..After going through a summary of the concepts by the teacher, i started to conduct the game. Throughout the game, i was shouting at them bcos they were so hard to control..and we even had to use a mike sometimes. It was really quite an experience.

After school, although its only 2pm..i already feel super tired out..I can just doze off after i get home..and if i didn't set my alarm..i think i will only wake up the next morning.. Thats how tiring it is..

New stuff in my room

I recently got a 26 inch LCD Samsung Monitor and new Altec Lansing speakers together with my Wii that i got as my birthday present. Haha..im definitely not insane about all this technology stuff but through this post i want to take the oppurtunity to thank Kelvin for helping me with all his advice and setting everything up. It wasn't easy and i definitely wouldn't have been able to do it by myself!

(Wii is absent from the picture, cos i lent it to my friend. Yoshi is waiting for its return! I feel that this is the hardest time i've ever worked in order to rush my modules to graduate on time and resume duty in NIE in June. With special sem to clear my last core module, i couldn't go for a grad trip in May or June. No matter what has happened, I'm really glad how everything has turned out. Just hoping that the career i have chosen to take suits me and i will be able to adapt to hall life when i'm a trainee. I feel like i'm moving to another phase of my life~ lol..

Pri Sch gathering!

Last week i went for my pri sch gathering with Kelvin. Was supposed to do some painting as volunteer work in the morning till evening but i came down with stomach flu the day before. Instead of assembling at Kovan at 830 for the volunteer work, i went to the clinic and was the first patient to arrive that day. After that, i went home to rest and picked Sally up at 7+pm. After that, we made our way to our pri sch teacher's house(Mrs Tan) at a condo in East Coast.

Had a great time there..although we were late and didnt spend much time there. Haha finally saw Mrs Tan's kids as well. They were really cute. Joel is already 9 while Jannalyn is 6 years old. The last time i saw them, Joel was only 5 and Jannalyn was only 2 years old. Haha but somehow had more impression of Joel, cos we gathered at Mrs Tan's house when he was born and when they moved to their new house at Serangoon North when Joel was around 1 years old.

We attempted to take a class photo, with our standing postion as similar as possible to the class photo we took in pri 6. It was really humourous and we got quite excited. In the 2nd photo, Mrs Tan is 'strangling' Ritchie bcos during our candid photo in pri 6, Ritchie was being 'strangled' by Mrs Tan and some of us and he raised his hand and blocked Mrs Tan's face!!

Then we had a 'yum seh' ceremony and thanked the organisers and Mrs Tan for hosting us.

After that, we celebrated Mrs Tan's birthday for her. Sandra and Lynn baked a chocolate cake for her. Haha it tasted good!

Lol Kelvin was very nice that day and helped us take alot of photos. He also chatted with my other classmates. Mrs Tan and classmates thought that he was very helpful. Lol..My classmate even reminded me to tag him in the photos! I really want to thank him for fetching me and my friends there and back, joining us and helping out during the class gathering. He has added five stars in my heart!

Our First year anniversary

Our 1 year anniversary
Well, this is our most happiest anniversary celebration. It marks the significance of our one year relationship. First, I drop by Julia's house, tricking her that we will be going down to Jurong Point to celebrate our anniversary there. Actually, I knew she wanted to eat buffet very much, and she is very keen to try the buffet in Yuki no Yaki (a high class and better quality version of Seoul Garden restaurant located in Marina Square), so I decided that is the best place for our anniversary celebration. I was afraid that the restaurant becomes fully packed. Luckily it is not.:)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_0d33d1J09WI/SjShFckb7AI/AAAAAAAAAj8/2TYLVtG8luM/s400/l2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347075772536056834" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 224px; height: 400px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0d33d1J09WI/SjShFBnnH8I/AAAAAAAAAj0/gCGx8IU90sY/s400/l3.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347075765301616578" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 225px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_0d33d1J09WI/SjShE1Gw4NI/AAAAAAAAAjs/tp4bSNz5dTQ/s400/l1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5347075761942618322" />
We have our cooking session there. We spent 3 hours there eating (to maximize our value)! The food taste good and my sweet heart loves it.The most unique thing about the restaurant is that you can make your own ice cream. The process is not easy, but its fun. Feeling very happy, my sweet heart bought for me a pair of crocs slipper. It is light and comfortable. In fact, I prefer this set of slippers to my nike on! We feel so full that we managed to skip our dinner. We have our dessert in gelaire as their waffles are simply delicious. Well, the time spent may be short, but its definitely the most memorable moments we spent together.

Today is our 1st Year Anniversary!

Look out for surprise! The room was small, and there was nothing much to do there..

Because there was nothing much to do there, we took the monorail back to Vivo city for dinner and to walk around on the first night. I gave the wrong suggestion to eat at Food Republic. I thought it was a more budget option, but somehow the prices were overrated.

On the 2nd day, the bathroom door toppled down. I was quite shocked. Our mood was somehow spoilt during the whole trip cos the semester results were going to be released on Fri, and Kelvin was quite worried. As for me, i didn't seem to bother so much about it. Haha..

Here are some pics we took. Kelvin forgot to bring his camera, so we had to use my phone. But good thing is that the pictures still look clear..

A special Edition Blogging

I remember on the 6th May 2009, is the day I looking forward the most for the semester. The day where I can fulfill my plan, to get my dear her most wanted present. I have to control my urge to buy her the present because I wanted her to concentrate on her studies first. The ultimate present: Nintendo Wii!

Although it is quite tiring that day after exam, but I'm still excited to get the Wii for her. I drop by together with my friends to Qishan at Far east shopping centre to buy Wii together. Actually Julia wanted to me for lunch, but I tricked her telling her I'm in Great World city signing contract for internship so that I have enough time to get her the Wii set. I did have a clue that she expect me to bought a Wii set during her birthday, but I'm sure she will never expect me to give her so early right after exam. LOL...

Using Lester's picture since I didn't get the chance to take picture.

My next step is to trick Julia to meet me some where in Woodlands so I could get for her some Wii games. At first she is quite mad at me because I keep on changing on our meeting location. Didn't want to tell her where to meet because I wanted to give her a surprise. When she first saw me, she is quite mad, but after she saw the Wii, she become very shock and touched.

We even met her friends in Causeway Point and she told them about it. LOL... Feeling so happy, she decided to treat me Pizza Hut! We ordered 2 special set of Pizza student meal. She wanted to treat me the couple pizza set, but I suggested to get a student meal instead since its the last few times where we can use student priviledges. LOL...However, I feel little regrets because the student meal is not nice at all. Following that, we leave each other as both of us go off to teach tuition. To be honest, the whole day is damn tiring. Couldn't sleep well the night before and have to shop around the whole day plus night tuition. It is definitely a tiring day, but it is definitely worth it, since I saw the expression on her face the moment I give her the present. LOL...

:S

After today, i am convinced that my school is screwed.

My friends and I were rushing through our lab report even before special sem started. And believe me, it was hard getting back to work after a tiring semester had just ended. This was the instruction given in the workbin for inorganic chem lab. ' All lab reports have to be completed and submitted by 6 pm on the day of the experiment. No reports will be accepted after 6 pm on that day. The exception is for experiments carried out during the first session; the lab reports are due the first thing in the morning of the next practical session (for those who started with experiment 3, you have till the end of that day). '

'(for those who started with experiment 3, you have till the end of that day).' How would you interpret this? It was bad enough that they did not want to reveal which experiments we were doing for the first lab session. So all of us were quite afraid that there was a possibility that we would be doing experiment 3. The worse thing was that only after i finished doing the lab report for almost a day i suddenly saw joyce data sheet where she wrote data for week 1 and data for week 2. That means the experiment spans over 2 weeks! How are we going to finish the report by 6pm that day on the first lab session? Haiz the system is so screwed.. We were convinced that they made a serious error cos they announced today during the briefing that the report is only due at 6pm on the second lab session if we start off with experiment 3.

The next thing was the particular statement which stated that 'The exception is for experiments carried out during the first session; the lab reports are due the first thing in the morning of the next practical session.' Because of my surname, i had a strong feeling that i would start off with experiment 4, which i did today. Being afraid that there was not enough time to finish the report when i ended lab i also went to prepare the report for experiment 4. Haiz and what happened again today? They announced during briefing that we were allowed to hand up our report 1 week later for the first lab session.

Haiz what is this??

Tmr's organic lab is a mystery again. Are we supposed to hand up on the day itself? Soft or hard copy? Its a mystery only to be known during briefing tmr:S

Yay!

Haha..i am so happy. I got a new wii~ Thanks to Kelvin, Kristina and his mum for giving it to me as my early bday present:)

Finally took my last paper ytd..and sad to say..it was really super hard. Quite comparable to Biomolecules. Kristina also said her physical chem paper was super hard and she was afraid that she was going to fail. My heart really goes out to her cos i had to cope with the same feeling for the past 2 semesters when i took organic chem. On the day the results were released, it was a super tense moment and my eyes just zoomed to look at that module. Other modules did not seem to bother that much anymore. All the more now that its our last semester and nothing should go wrong to delay our graduation furthur.

Lots of things coming up..with my 2nd attempt of the driving test coming in less than 2 weeks time. Spent alot of money for revision lessons in school and going under a private instructor. Haha this time i am really serious about passing. I must do my best to pass!

And special sem starts next week already! Haiz that means back to lab and books.. just when i thought everything had ended. Sad. Hopefully they wont change the experiments. Haha on a brighter side, i may be able to meet Kelvin in school cos he will be doing internship there. Lol. Congrats to him for getting the internship!

So tempted to buy a 26inch LCD monitor that can couple as a TV and computer monitor. Initially thought of a 32 inch TV but now the LCD monitor seems more tempting. Also renewing my singnet wireless which comes with Mio TV. They will be coming on 21st May to fix it in my house. So many temptations..I dun feel like doing my special sem already~ Hahaha..

Some pics to share

Pics from the last analytical lab. Compared to physical chem lab, i found that analytical really rocks. Lol. But of course the lab reporting does not rock at all~

1st pic is on fluorescence spectroscopy. The first time i saw the blue light when i placed the cuvette cell in the sample holder i got super excited bcos i found that i could finally appreciate something in chemistry lab. Anyway the blue light was really beautiful, and for once i didnt mind staring at it longer and ending lab a few minutes later. Its not that well captured in my camera phone though.

2nd pic is on High Performance Liquid Chromtography(HPLC). Didnt really know how to appreciate chromatography last time. But through this lab module got to understand it better and find that it is very applicable in chemical industries. The bottles on top are reservoirs for gradient elution to separate out the components. Everything is computerised and the equipment looks huge.

Wanted to take a pic of the Atomic Spectroscopy machine but wasnt in the mood while doing the experiment bcos we had to queue and wait super long since there was only one machine and 5 groups were doing the experiment. The flame in the machine really looked cool~ The flame was used to atomize the sample and absorption was measured.

Lol am i missing chemistry already? Have never regretted switching to Chemistry after my first sem though i lagged behind in modules. Only regretted not making the right decision earlier :(

Reaching the end~ Can finally see light at the end of the tunnel~

Took my 2nd last final year exam today..Still ok. But somehow didn't manage to churn up the length for the first question which was a 50 mark essay. Sat there in the last 10 mins with mental block, and somehow i didn't feel nervous at all. Just felt that my brain had shut down. Guess i was too tired to think. Ended off with just one single sentence 'urban planning is needed for economic growth but the government has to intervene as well'. Wanted to write more but my hand was no longer responsive to the signals sent out by my brain. Lol.

Yesterday's biomolecules was the worst paper i took this sem. Just by looking at the paper i had already lost half of the marks bcos i didnt focus on memorising those stuff. Somehow i was caught off guard, and felt kind of cheated. Bcos what came out in some of the questions were those not explained in detail by the lecturer and i thought was just sufficient to understand and glance through. All the stuff which i thought was important and focused on did not come out much at all.

Haiz i have a bad bad habit ever since i came to NUS. I cannot sleep well before major exams. I go to bed early, ensuring i have more than 6 hours of sleep, but i somehow i toss and turn about in bed, and the next day i just feel so tired. Ironically, during normal school days i would treasure every moment to rest and sleep. I will doze off in less than 15mins. Is it a psychological barrier towards exams? It only started from year 2. In year 1 of uni i was too slack to bother so much.

I just realised that it is hard to ignore and feel angry over loved ones. Although i feel angry and upset sometimes, i just cant bear to show the other person how angry or upset i am. After i show that im angry or upset i regret my actions of being too harsh. Is this a stong feeling of love?

Update

Well these few days have been really hectic and mad..
I had tests everyday, and after each test i felt so traumatised bcos i flunked them. Except GEK which i still found was more manageable. The rest were just horrible, including my driving test on Thurs. Although i sort of expected that i would fail, it was still a major disappointment.

On Thurs night after i failed my driving test there was still alot to worry for because i had solid state test the next day. Although i did study with xiuhui over the mid term break, there were still formulas to memorise and last min looking through to do. So i took a nap and got up to study through the night. After writing down everything, it was already early morning..Then i suddenly had a bad headache and it wasn't just the normal headache. I felt like collapsing and my eyes were somehow sore.

Next day had slight sore throat and went to see the doctor. Missed the solid state test. Got a shock when he took my blood pressure and checked my eyesight and asked whether i saw double image. Then he asked whether i was nauseous, which i did feel in the morning. Then he asked me something which did not seem like normal sickness. Initially i thought i was just overworked. But he told me it may just be signs of stress too. Need alot of rest. Had to monitor over these few days and thankfully i think i am alright now.

Upset that i did not take the solid state test on Fri. Because right now the make up test will be an oral test or only using the second test as CA. But in any case, i was not in the right state to take any test on Fri. Sigh.

Haha Kelvin gave me a surprise and drove his dad's new car on Sat. Initially i was asking where his car was when he took me downstairs. Then i saw him press something and opened e doors. Its a new mitshubitshi lancer and the interior looks great. Kelvin said his ultimate aim was a new BMW 7 series..Haha but i already feel very satisfied with just a normal mid sized sedan. As long as it works well and is comfortable :)

Here are some photos we took

Mid term break

Mid term break just started. Enjoyed myself thoroughly on sat and sun. It had been a super long time that i could finally take a break. But it was back to reality on Sunday night when i had to start doing my report. Eventually i was so tired i decided to stop and take a break. Was so tired that i fell asleep on bed without switching off the lights. That is how tiring this sem is:(

Woke up early today because i had driving. The instructor thought i had a session this morning before his cos my last lesson was 23/12 last yr which he saw as 23/2. He said it was a long time since i drove. I asked him whether he could go through all the circuit items again and he guided me patiently. Was so glad cos it turned out quite ok and i specially paid more to fix the instructor.

Everything went on fine until i went out to the outside road. I was seriously bad in overtaking cos i could not judge properly the right time to overtake. Then he started to nag alot about us depending too much on the instructors for instructions and how we did not learn everything well from the start and that we were actually going to become qualified drivers soon. Which i could not deny because it seemed so true. Kept forgetting to return back to the left lane after doing right turns.

Eventually went back to the circuit. His comments were that i could drive, but i need to buck up alot. But he said it was inevitable cos i did not drive for a long time. He looked quite worried when i mentioned that i had only 3 more lessons to my actual test. Hai..But i guess i do not have a choice. Cos i cancelled 2 lessons in Feb as i was sick. Time flies so fast.

Oh! I need to mention a secret. But i think its not a secret anymore cos i already revealed it to Kris and everyone else on sat. Kelvin says he shares an emotional bond with his dogs. The first time i heard it i almost fainted cos he seems to be 'abusing' them all the time. Here is a picture which shows the evidence. He claimed that he left the dogs in his room to rest cos he was afraid that they felt lonely. Then he snapped a picture of them while they were sleeping in his room. Hmm..that set me teasing him the whole weekend. Lol..

Fully packed this break. After this weekend is over, hardly have any time to rest. I just realised that my exams end 6 may, special tem is on 11 may to 20 june and NIE intake is on 22 june. I guess the only resting period is in Dec. Haiz this is so sad. Want to drop tuition but afraid cos the economy is so bad now. Feel so sad for Kelvin cos he just lost 2 students. But yet i am afraid that i would not have time to catch up in my work. Really in a dilemma.....Hai. Sometimes i really envy my friends who can go straight home after school and slack and do their work during weekends. This is no doubt the kind of life i would like to lead as well. It just sets me thinking about what i am really doing and whether it is worth it in the end. Hai it really drives me crazy sometimes.

Wanted to get wii during the weekend but soft and hard mod cost $530, way more than i expected. So got to think very carefully. Kris lent me her wii again, so glad that i have a chance to play again! Thanks!

Hai..i am falling asleep again. Haha the previous entry was sweet ain't it? Lol..

Post Valentine's Day Thoughts

Phew, finally got time to do a post on valentine's day. Last week was kind of hetic for me because I'm stucked between assignments, projects deadlines and midterm exam. Yucks, so packed! Anyway, I enjoyed my last valentine's day. It was really fun and the experience is worth it even though it cost a bomb! LOL.. Yup, first, I ordered roses to be delivered to Julia on V day. Well, the delivery man sure make a grand appearance at her door step. He shouted "Julia" at her doorstep, ensuring the whole corridor neighbourhood knows she received flowers. LOL.. High quality service I would say! =). Well, the roses aren't exactly look like what I ordered. Heres a comparison for you all to judge:

What it looks like in the Internet:

What it actually looks like!:

I thought it suppose be the bear holding the flower! Not carrying it on its back. I expect it to be smaller. Anyway, that sounds kind of unreasonable. Heres a zoom in on the roses:

See the specially added "I love you"? It costs extra to add one of those, but its worth it. Well, Julia bought for me a sweet valentine's cake and nike vouchers. Haiz, if I'm not sick, I would have eat more slices of the cakes! Wasted! It was certainly delicious.

After that, we head towards vivo city, to watch the "Curious case of Benjamin Buttons". I had to pre-order the gold class tickets which caused $149 for 2! Oh my god, its the most expensive movie I ever watched in my whole entire life! I was hesitant about booking it online days before, but the tickets are selling fast, so I had to buy quick. Anway, the staff are very nice and we managed to go in 30mins early to relax in the lounge.

Heres the lounge:

The package is known as "Paradise of Love at Gold Class". It includes:

Two Gold Class movie ticket
- 6-inch couple bears, 2-course meal with drink and choice of champagne or wine.

Main
Wine Poached Chicken Breast & Spanish Prawn
served with Sauteed Young Vegetables

Dessert
Raspberry Mousse

Drink
Coffee, Tea or Soft Drink

Choice of two glasses of
Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne
or
Astrolabe Sauvignon Blanc 2008, Marlborough New Zealand

Here are the 6 inch couple bears. They really look cute!

The seats are great, you get to enjoy the comfort and luxury. The chairs can be adjusted with a push of the button. The ambience are really nice. I can't describe the feeling but it is really worth. The movie is near 3 hours, so it is really worth the money. The food is quite nice, but Julia don't really like it. I love the wine there. We get to taste both white and red wine. It rocks though I feel abit drunk! Lol..

The movie started at 7.30 pm and ended 10.30 pm. We have to eat the food in the movie which is quite bad. I can't really bear to leave at the end of the show. However, I certainly enjoy the our Valentine's day. Though it is just a simple movie outing, but it is certainly our quality time we enjoy together. Well, good times are short, so we have to rush back home for our homework! If only we have more time that day to spend with each other. Anyway, we can do so tomorrow. Till then, see you all again!

update

Hmm since there has been not much update since my last entry, ill do a short update.

School has been bad. Looking forward to the mid term break. But ill be taking driving lessons 3 times a week and studying for tests so i think there is hardly any break. The week straight after mid term break will be full of tests from mon to fri, not leaving out my free day on thurs because ill be taking my driving test that day.

Haha i wonder how im going to pass my driving test because i haven been driving close to 2 months. Wanna congragulate my best friend jasmine for passing her driving test on her first attempt!! :)

Random entry

Haiz, things have gone so so bad this sem, i can hardly breathe. This is happening even before mid term break!

Secondly i dunno why i fell so sick since last fri up to now and all the medicine has made me so drowsy and i almost slept the whole of last sun and thurs this week. The worse thing is that i have not felt any better and my cough has developed into phlegm. My lungs seem to be breaking down soon from all the coughing and my chest hurts whenever i cough. What is happening to me??

Despite all this, i still went to give tuition. And the more i give, the more guilty and upset i get. Because i think i should be resting more and concentrating more in my school work, since its my last semester and i am clearing more modules. Weekends seem to be totally burnt by all the tuition and now i wonder how on earth i managed to cope for the last 5 semesters. Cannot seem to catch up at all in my core modules. Every module is just so hard and my timetable is so super packed. Feel like giving up tuition 1 by 1, but i dunno who to give up and i feel so reluctant since they are all good students and are taking their O levels at the end of the year. Hai..how??

So many stuff due next week. Only looking forward to Valentine's Day. Kelvin has planned something v sweet. Lol..

Update on the bday celebration!

Here are some photos we took after the steamboat and the surprise...
<img style="display:block; I started to dread school even more while talking to kris during the second round of steamboat about lab:(

Lab today was indeed horrible. In my first time in 3 years, I had the rare oppurtunity to pair up with xiuhui! But..our experiment today was so hard that we just dreaded it all the way till it ended. We were stuck in the comp lab using some programme to form and calculate some molecules on their electric potential, molecular orbitals,...........Using the comp was even harder than doing the experiment by hand cos there were so many commands to type. You could imagine how lost me and Xiuhui were. Kelvin would have been a great help if he was there. Lol..

Haha, despite feeling quite sad and irritated by the experiment today, i was actually thinking back on the process of getting Kelvin's birthday present and thinking back on what happened on sat when we went to get the present and finally giving it to Kelvin on Sunday. Wish that we could relive those memories again. It was indeed heartwarming and the happiness on his face made me feel that everything was worth it. I guess everyone else felt the same. Haha we took quite alot of photos with his family and friends. Thanks to everyone for being so supportive and putting in so much effort to make the celebration so enjoyable:) I am indeed lucky to have so much support too!

Thanks to Kris and her mum for preparing so much food. The steamboat was indeed delicious! Cheese tofu and fresh live prawns did taste good! And for the first time, i actually got to eat real new moon abalone. Haha it did taste good too!

School is starting:(

Haha just came back from the chalet! It was fun..along the way back met shaoxuan who was at another chalet a short distance away from ours.

This month is gonna be exciting but tiring..Starting to feel the fatigue of taking so many tuition assignments even before school has started. Haiz..what to do..after mother broke her elbow and went for op i was determined not to let her work anymore. I should work harder in case anything happens.

MOE called me down for interview next week after i sent the application in Dec. Somehow everything seems kind of fast. Thinking about it, i will be graduating quite soon too. Haha although i dread uni life sometimes i think ill be missing it when i step out to work. So glad that they chose Chemistry and Maths for me to teach at Sec school level. Hope the interview goes on fine.

This sem i finally felt the 'power' of having so many points in my account to bid for modules. Bidding went on smoothly..and i was glad. But the worst disaster came about yesterday when my ally joyce mentioned about some debate in our history gem module.

"In addition to the formal, closed-book examination at the end of the semester, there will be a variety of assessment tasks in this module ranging from multiple-choice objective tests (MC), to classroom debates, discussion forum activity, and class participation. All of these tasks generate marks in the following ways:

MC = 20%; Debates = 20%; Discussion Forum = 10%; Class Participation = 10%

Participation in all things is required of you. Silence in (or perpetual absence from) class together with no involvement on the forum will guarantee a zero in both categories. It would be crazy to go along that path since to do so will eliminate 20% of your grade. Work out the math….."

Haiz so mean right? No wonder could get this module for 1 point. I have in mind to S/U it but seems like i also have to put in minimum effort. Worst thing is that the tutorial timings are not out! please don't let the tutorials fall on my free day~:(

PRE-CLUSIONS

My lovely Christmas Gift!

Isn't it lovely? But glad that things didn't turn out that bad for me and Kelvin.

Secondly, we encountered a rough patch in our relationship but we had the courage to finally confront each other and to talk about our problems which eventually boiled down to just one problem-communication. Because we loved each other so much we were afraid to express how we felt sometimes which eventually resulted in miscommunication. But through the tougher times we had together, we love and cherish each other even more...and had a wonderful xmas eve together.

We had a feast at Pizza Hut and went to watch Bedtime Stories during midnight on xmas eve. Before the movie, we exchanged presents we bought for each other. Haha that day was really special because Kelvin was dressed very nicely and he did smell good. Haha..he gave me Walle toys and a 4GB Sony thumbdrive which contained a special video on us..I got him a crocs handphone pouch with Walle buttons on top which he thought was better to place his camera in for support instead. Lol..anw im just glad he likes it that way too! But the most important thing that day was that we both enjoyed each others company and time spent together that day really felt special. Here are some pics we took..

Thirdly, my mum fell, knocked her head and broke her elbow in the childcare she was working in. Really quite tragic and felt quite upset that she was so badly hurt. Luckily her head was alright, except that her elbow is in a cast now.

The last thing happened today..on 31st Dec 08. Our sweet 7th month anniversary together..We met with an accident in Sembawang. While trying to change lane, a bus travelling at high speed suddenly cut into the lane we were trying to change into and damaged the front left side of the car. Could hear the front left headlight break and glass scattering. Then the front license plate dropped too. Bumper was also damaged. But the most important thing was that both of us were not injured and the bus driver was reasonable. He told us to claim from insurance.

Then we drove slowly back to Kelvin's place and looked for numbers to call. After that we drove to the place for accident claims. But the people there said that Kelvin was at fault and it was hard to win the case against the bus driver. Because he did not own the car he had to pay for the damages. Poor Kelvin..He did look upset and shocked..And it really wasnt his fault cos the bus was travelling so fast and his car was slow to respond.

Haiz but we couldnt do anything bcos it had already happened..Then we went to have lunch at 4plus..was starving by then..and had a good meal for dinner cos it was our anniversary. Just hope that we can put the incident behind us and learn from the experience.
